Please find enclosed the fifth newsletter of the international ship waste management project WANDA - WAste management for inland Navigation on the DAnube.

Implementation of pilot activities for the collection of ship borne waste, concepts for a financing model and several international workshops and one ship waste conference in Slovakia were just a few highlights of the last months. Also, a follow up proposal -"CO-WANDA - COnvention for WAste management for inland NAvigation on the DAnube" has been elaborated and submitted to the last call of the SEE Programme in November 2011.

Finally, we want to thank you for the good cooperation during the last year: Without your support, the multitude of activities could not have been accomplished in such a successful way! We wish all the best for Christmas, a happy new year and are looking forward to meeting you latest at our final project event on March 8th, 2012 - most probably in Vienna.
