Air, Rail and Water Authority Support Center
Introduction
The mission of the Air, Rail and Water Authority Support Centre is to provide innovative solutions and research results to transport authorities.
Our aim is to promote the use of new technologies in all three transport sectors, whether it’s the regulation of drone technologies, the deployment of intelligent transport systems or the development of green and sustainable operations.
We will pay particular attention to environmental and climate protection objectives in the development of transport systems. Sustainability is at the heart of our research projects and we aim to promote the uptake of environmentally friendly transport solutions.
Our Centre works in close cooperation with Hungarian and international transport authorities, research institutes and industry players to provide comprehensive solutions to the challenges facing the transport sector. We support the authorities in their regulatory work, technical advice and research and development activities.
Air transport
Our centre supports the aviation authority through a range of research and development projects aimed at developing safe and sustainable aviation. Our tasks include continuously monitoring the international regulatory environment and ensuring that the Hungarian aviation authorities comply with these standards.
Based on a designating regulation, the Centre is responsible for coordinating the preparation and regular review of the National Aviation Safety Programme and Plan required by ICAO and EU regulations.
In addition, we support the development of aviation infrastructure, in particular the integration of modern technologies and sustainability aspects.
Rail transport
One of the main aims of our work in rail transport is to improve safety and efficiency. We carry out research into rail infrastructure and technological solutions, in particular on rail safety systems and sustainable operations. We support the Hungarian railway authorities by promoting legal compliance and improving the regulatory environment. We also support innovation for the development of rail transport, including the development of intelligent rail systems.
Water transport
In the field of waterborne transport, our Centre also plays a major role in supporting the authorities. Our priority is to improve the safety of navigation and to promote environmental protection. We contribute to the development of sustainable waterborne transport solutions, especially in the field of river and lake transport. We support authorities in complying with international and national regulations and contribute to the development of waterborne transport infrastructure.
Hungarian Aerospace Cluster
The mission of the cluster is to represent the aviation industry, to increase its competitiveness, to develop the innovation environment of the industry and to continue its traditions through professional networking, and to preserve and develop the culture of the industry. It aims to support and organise the implementation of government programmes to develop the sector.
