Directorate of Strategic, Research-development and Innovation

The authority of the Directorate includes the research, development and coordination tasks defined by the relevant domestic legislation, which on the one hand affect the safety and environmental effects of road transport, and on the other hand cover the transport system as a whole, i.e. rail, road, water and air transport.
The Directorate carries out its tasks through nine organizational units, these are the Sustainable Transport Research Center, the Transport Development Research Center, the Transport Safety Research Center, the Transport Safety Project Center, the Air, Railway and Water Authority Support Center, the Authority Support Project Center, the Mobility Research Center, the KKBAP Support Management Center and the Coordination Center.
The Directorate manages the scientific research work of the organizational units under it, and also ensures that KTI’s strategic, research and development and innovation activities operate according to regulations.
In addition, it monitors other scientific work in the field, establishes collaborations between the sector’s state, scientific, market and civil actors, and supports the performance of the strategic, legislative, management and official tasks of the ministry at both domestic and international levels.
The Directorate also participates in the formation of social attitudes, the development of traffic culture, and contributes to the process of education for safe traffic.
